We were looking for Chinese food on a Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to find this place. It was one of the only restaurants open, and were offered complimentary organic tea when we were seated. We had the fried pork buns and rice noodles with beef, which were both delicious. The wait was not long even though they were made fresh—I will return!
Oh wow! We accidentally stumbled across this place when another restaurant we were planning to go to was closed. It threw us right back to feeling like we were traveling in China. The flavours were absolutely phenomenal! This is a slow food place so if you're expecting a fast one, this is not it. They prepare everything from scratch including the dumplings and the wait is oh so very worth it. The owner gave us games to play while we waited and it ended up being a fantastic night. Can't wait to go back!
Best Chinese food in Victoria and it’s not even close. Family run place with a lovely atmosphere, clean and quirky decoration. Incredible food- we had the eggplant, the Sichuan fish soup, the pork buns and the beef noodles. Everything was fresh, everything was spiced beautifully and not heavy or greasy. Reserved for a birthday party next month before our meal was even done. Try this place it’s great!

Chef Calista recommended we try her hidden menu items: the Wonton Tofu Mushroom Soup, a special version of the Cucumber Salad, and the Fried Buns. This isn’t a place for a quick bite, as every dish is handmade to order, requiring both time and patience—but it's absolutely worth the wait. The food is incredibly fresh, piping hot, and delicious. Our entire dining experience lasted about two hours. While waiting, you can choose from a selection of board games and enjoy complimentary organic rose tea accompanied by beautiful music. Everything felt harmonious and delightful. Highly recommended for those who appreciate authentic Chinese cuisine and don’t mind taking their time.
What a wonderful meal. I was indecisive, and the server recommended some things but then said she'd ask the chef. She came back and said the chef was going to make me a special meal, and then the chef came out and asked if I had any allergies. The food was delicious, and the chef was so generous and kind. She didn't charge me any extra for the special prep and actually refused a tip because "Canadians are having it hard right now and we need to help each other." This place is a gem, look forward to returning next time I'm in town.
We’ve been to this place twice and the experience every single time is absolutely amazing. The staffs are always friendly and helpful. The food is authentic and so yummy. March deserves more recognition
The service is very good. Because it is freshly made, the food is served slowly, but it is worth it!! It's delicious. Every dish is very good with rice! I'm looking forward to eating it next time! And the boss is very nice. We ordered five dishes, so it took a long time. She also gave us two bottles of sugar-free coke.
